S P Setia launches 100-acre Heritage Park at Setia Fontaines in Kepala Batas
S P Setia Bhd has launched the 100-acre Setia Fontaines Heritage Park at its township in Kepala Batas, Penang. The park joins the township's 63-acre man-made lake and musical fountain in supporting recreation and community engagement.
PETALING JAYA (Sept 21): S P Setia Bhd has launched the 100-acre Setia Fontaines Heritage Park at its Setia Fontaines township in Kepala Batas, Penang.
In a statement on Monday (Sept 21), the property developer said the park, alongside the township’s 63-acre man-made lake and musical fountain, is intended to support recreation, wellness and community engagement.
S P Setia president and CEO Datuk Zaini Yusoff said the launch reflected the group’s long-term commitment to Penang. “Through thoughtful placemaking, green public spaces and community-led experiences, we are shaping Setia Fontaines into an integrated township that contributes to Penang’s growth while creating long-term value for residents, visitors and the wider community,” he said.
According to S P Setia, the park is envisioned as more than a township amenity and has the potential to become a lifestyle and recreational destination for northern Seberang Perai and the wider northern region. Penang state executive councillor for tourism and creative economy Wong Hon Wai said the initiative could enhance Setia Fontaines’ appeal and contribute to the broader socio-economic development of Kepala Batas and northern Seberang Perai.
The launch was followed by the Jom Mai Setia Fontaines Carnival, which featured family activities, Malaysia Day-themed programmes, cultural and entertainment performances, tourism-related activities and public-engagement programmes. S P Setia said Tourism Malaysia, Penang Global Tourism, Maybank and other parties supported the programme’s destination-branding and public-engagement activities.
Setia Fontaines is planned as an integrated township comprising residential, commercial, recreational and lifestyle components, as well as future employment uses.
