Privacy policy

Last updated 22 Aug 2026.

APACrealty is a news website. There are no reader accounts, no login and no newsletter, so there is very little personal data here to hold. This page describes what there is.

Who this applies to

This policy covers apacrealty.com.sg and is governed by Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the PDPA). Questions, access requests and correction requests go to [email protected].

What we collect

  • Server logs. Our web server records the IP address, the time, the page requested, the referring page, the user-agent string and the response status for each request. This is standard web-server logging, used to keep the site running, diagnose faults and identify abusive traffic.
  • Email you send us. If you write to any address on this site we keep the message and your address so we can reply and keep a record of what was said. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list.
  • Nothing else directly. We do not ask for your name, run contact forms, sell subscriptions or process payments on this site.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data. We do not build reader profiles of our own, and we do not attempt to identify individual readers from server logs.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

The site itself sets no tracking cookie and needs none to work. Third-party services we use may set their own:

  • Google Search Console. We read aggregate search performance data for this site. It contains no individual reader information.
  • Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers carrying your IP address and user-agent.

Blocking cookies in your browser will not stop you reading anything on this site.

Data we publish that came from public records

Our Market Data reports are calculated from datasets published by Singapore government agencies, made available for commercial use under the Singapore Open Data Licence. Those datasets describe properties and transactions — block, street, storey range, floor area, price — and are published by the agency in that form. They do not name buyers or sellers, and we do not attempt to identify anyone from them or combine them with other sources to that end.

How long we keep things

Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and diagnostic purposes and then discarded. Correspondence is kept while it is needed for the matter it concerns and for our record of corrections.

Where data is held

The site runs on hosted infrastructure and the third-party services named above operate internationally, so data may be processed outside Singapore. We use established providers and rely on their own contractual and technical protections for transfers.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may ask what personal data about you we hold and how it has been used, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Write to [email protected]. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can, and will tell you if there is a reason we cannot comply with part of a request.

A request to remove an accurate news report about you is not a data correction request, and is handled under the corrections policy instead. Where a report is inaccurate, we will correct it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
