Phu My Hung moves trading floor as part of 2.0 redevelopment of Lawrence S. Ting Building site
Phu My Hung has relocated its real estate trading floor after more than 20 years to 109 Ton Dat Tien Street in Ho Chi Minh City's Crescent Lake area. The move prepares for the redevelopment of the 1.5-hectare C1 mixed-use complex under the developer's Phu My Hung 2.0 strategy.
Phu My Hung has relocated its real estate trading floor to 109 Ton Dat Tien Street in the Crescent Lake area, after more than 20 years at the Lawrence S. Ting Building. The move is part of preparations to develop the 1.5-hectare C1 mixed-use complex under the Phu My Hung 2.0 strategy.
The 12-storey Lawrence S. Ting Building at 801 Nguyen Van Linh Boulevard began operations in 2004 as Phu My Hung's headquarters. It has also hosted domestic and international delegations and industry experts visiting and working in the urban area. After Phu My Hung Tower at 8 Hoang Van Thai Street and the second phase of Crescent Mall opened in 2020, several Phu My Hung departments and office tenants continued operating from the Lawrence S. Ting Building.
The developer plans to replace the building with a mixed-use complex comprising a hotel, A-grade offices, serviced apartments and a high-end shopping centre. Located in the International Commercial and Financial District, the 1.5-hectare site is at a gateway to the urban area. The proposed 23-storey complex will have nearly 100,000 square metres of total floor area.
The project is designed by Japanese architectural firm Nihon Sekkei, which has worked on developments in Tokyo, including the Azabudai Hills complex. Phu My Hung said the Lawrence S. Ting Building remains usable but the site will be given new functions to support the urban area's next stage of development.
The redevelopment is part of Phu My Hung 2.0, which aims to expand and upgrade the urban area's functions. Its first phase includes projects in the International Commercial and Financial District, Crescent Lake, the Sports and Healthcare District, and the Canal District, covering landscaping, commercial and service facilities, arts and cultural venues, healthcare and housing, with total investment of tens of trillions of dong.
The company said the plans aim to meet demand from younger professionals, business executives, international experts and families seeking higher living standards, as well as companies seeking an internationally oriented working and business environment. 'Phu My Hung 2.0 aims to develop an international centre for culture, entertainment, and education, contributing to Ho Chi Minh City's position among modern global megacities,' a company representative said.
