KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 16): EdgeProp Malaysia's third Realtors' Roundtable (RRT), which recognises top-performing property agents, has seen its membership grow by nearly 70 per cent to close to 200. The figure was announced at the gala dinner on Sept 15, where EdgeProp Malaysia managing director Alvin Ong noted the community's expansion from 70 members at the start to 120 last year and almost 200 this year.

The RRT community now stands at 425 members across Malaysia and Singapore, reflecting the trust the industry has placed in the independent platform. Established by EdgeProp, the RRT helps consumers identify trusted real estate professionals who demonstrate excellence in performance, professionalism and client service.

Speaking at the event, Ong said a home represents far more than a transaction: "It represents a family's life savings and the place where our children grow up and our security sits." He framed the realtor's role around two questions every client silently asks: Can you deliver, and are you on my side? The first is a matter of capability, which the RRT badge certifies, while the second is a matter of character.

This year's Roundtable introduced three new accolades: the Young Achiever Award for top performers aged 30 and under; the Titan and Milestone Awards for members who have qualified for three consecutive years; and Agency Awards recognising agency leaders who champion their people's success.

For the first time, EdgeProp Malaysia also launched the Realtors' Roundtable Scholarship, offering five bursaries covering 50 per cent of tuition fees for the Diploma in Real Estate at UCSI College. Ong invited members to take up the opportunity or nominate someone who deserves the chance, framing it as part of the platform's responsibility to the profession.

The evening was supported by partners including Oregeon Property Consultancy as preferred valuation partner, Federal Auto as official automotive partner, Singleton Malaysia, ROYCE, Glambot, and UCSI College.
