Eden Taman Duta wins two top honours at EdgeProp Singapore Excellence Awards 2026
BRDB Developments' freehold villa project Eden Taman Duta has won Top Development (Central Malaysia) and Top Luxury Development (Central Malaysia) at the EdgeProp Singapore Excellence Awards 2026. The 146-unit development in Kuala Lumpur's Taman Duta enclave is scheduled for completion by 2030.
BRDB Developments' freehold project Eden Taman Duta has won two awards at the EdgeProp Singapore Excellence Awards (EPEA) 2026: Top Development (Central Malaysia) and Top Luxury Development (Central Malaysia), both in the high-rise category. The development, located in Kuala Lumpur's exclusive Taman Duta enclave, comprises 146 villa-style residences across eight low-density blocks set within 12.25 acres of tropical gardens. It is scheduled to be completed by 2030.
Deputy CEO Yasmin Khan said the double win is a significant milestone for BRDB, providing independent recognition of the project's overall proposition and introducing the developer's work to a wider regional audience beyond Malaysia. BRDB, the developer behind Bangsar Shopping Centre, The Troika, One Menerung and Serai, has held the 12.25-acre site since 1997, and Eden Taman Duta is its final residential development in Taman Duta.
Every home has at least five bedrooms; the 6,491 sq ft Type C, for instance, has 4+2 bedrooms and six bathrooms. At the top are 22 limited-edition penthouses. Rather than cut deep into the site's natural valley, BRDB chose to build a continuous podium across it, which required a greater upfront investment but allowed the developer to work with the existing topography and create a more cohesive environment for residents.
Designed by GDP Architects, the blocks adopt a contemporary tropical style with clean lines, natural materials and large openings that draw in light, breezes and greenery. They are arranged in clusters with generous spacing and layered landscaping between them, preserving privacy while maximising views. The heart of the development takes its cue from a water stream that once ran through the site, with a central spine linking the clubhouse, a 35m lap pool and the wellness pavilion.
The homes are pitched at well-travelled buyers used to landed living. Interiors by Edo Yvonne Design Assembly pair natural stone and timber with a soft, neutral palette. Dry kitchens feature Poggenpohl cabinetry and Gaggenau appliances, while wardrobes are by Molteni & C and bathrooms are fitted by Villeroy & Boch and Hansgrohe. The landscape by Walrus Design turns the estate into a resort-style retreat, with a walled adults-only spa garden offering massage rooms, a sauna, steam room and an infinity-edge pool overlooking the rainforest canopy.
The development includes solar panels, rainwater harvesting, regenerative lifts, LED lighting with smart controls and EV charging stations. BRDB's pipeline includes developments in Bangsar and Permas Jaya, and its Emerald Bay project in Johor is set to target a wider regional audience, particularly Singapore buyers, on the back of improving cross-border connectivity.
