PETALING JAYA (Aug 27) — Eco Ardence and Missi Care Sdn Bhd have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a 24-hour Care Hub at Eco Ardence’s first low-rise villas, which are scheduled to be launched this year. Under the MoU, Missi Care will be the exclusive operator of the Care Hub.

In a statement on Thursday (Aug 27), Eco Ardence said the villas will be its first low-rise residential offering. Eco Ardence is a 533.92-acre freehold township in Setia Alam, Shah Alam, developed through a joint venture between Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld) and Cascara Sdn Bhd.

Planned around a resort-style setting, the villas will feature a low-density layout and offer residents access to 38 facilities, including the Care Hub. The Care Hub will provide 24-hour caregiver support, house visits during stipulated hours, professional health advice, first aid treatment, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) emergency response, as well as medical liaison and referral assistance. Residents will also have access to complimentary basic health assessments covering blood pressure and temperature.

EcoWorld chief development officer for Eco Central-North and Eco Business Park Datuk Ho Kwee Hong said the Care Hub was intended to serve residents’ day-to-day needs while providing support when needed. He said many Malaysian households span three generations, with young children and ageing parents living under the same roof, making access to trained caregivers within the residential development useful when assistance is required.

“Eco Ardence has grown into a township of families at every stage of life, and these villas are designed for them. Curating care services inside a residential development is how we make ageing in place real in the townships we build,” Ho said. He added that Missi Care’s involvement from the outset would allow the service to form part of the development itself.

Access to the Care Hub will be covered by residents’ maintenance fees as it forms part of the villas’ facilities, although certain individual services, including wound dressing and glucose checks, will be charged separately. The hub will also organise wellness activities including morning exercise sessions, board games and health monitoring for weight, height and body mass index (BMI). Monthly programmes will include health talks, handicraft and baking activities.

Missi Care, a subsidiary of Elderlove Missi Healthcare Group, has been involved in digital healthcare since 2017 and subsequently expanded into education and training for elderly caregivers. The Care Hub is scheduled to begin operations upon completion of the villas.
