Billionaire family gifts S$1M Bangkok condo to America's Got Talent winner Nene Royal
Dhanin Chearavanont, senior chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group, has gifted a two-bedroom condominium at Mulberry Grove The Forestias in eastern Bangkok to 16-year-old Nene Royal, the first Thai winner of America's Got Talent. The 98 sq m apartment is valued at between 25 million and 36 million baht.
Dhanin Chearavanont, senior chairman of Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group, has gifted a luxury condominium at Mulberry Grove The Forestias Condominiums in eastern Bangkok to 16-year-old rocker Nene Royal, the first Thai to win America's Got Talent. The apartment, spanning roughly 98 square metres with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, is estimated to be worth between 25 million and 36 million baht, according to The Bangkok Post.
Nene, whose real name is Rattikarn "Praew" Amloy, made history on Thursday when she won the 2026 season of America's Got Talent and took home the show's US$1 million prize. Dhanin announced the gift after Nene's victory, though it had already been presented to her and her family earlier in the month before they travelled to the United States for the final.
"The story of Nene's family can inspire a new generation to dare to dream, take action, persevere through challenges and believe in their own potential, while never forgetting the value of family and the people who stand by them throughout their journey," Dhanin said, according to a press release by the project's developer Magnolia Quality Development Corporation. The condominium is meant to provide Nene and her family with a home and support her as she pursues her music career.
"May it be a home filled with love, warmth and stability—a new beginning for the next chapter of Nene's journey and a reminder that no matter how far the road ahead may be, with determination, perseverance and a family as the wind beneath her wings, dreams can become reality," Dhanin added.
Earlier this month CP also offered Nene a continuing scholarship in recognition of her skills and contribution to Thailand's reputation, as reported by Thaiger. She was also given an Apple Studio Display, Apple AirPods Max and a Buddha statue. CP had backed Nene in August by featuring her image on an LED screen in Times Square, New York, to help promote her ahead of the final.
The Chearavanont family ranked second on Forbes's Thailand rich list in July with a combined fortune of US$36.6 billion. They draw their wealth from CP, one of the world's largest producers of animal feed and livestock, with interests spanning real estate, fintech and telecommunications.
