The confidence index for the next six months for residential developers in Greater Bangkok fell below the 50-point threshold, signalling a fragile recovery despite sentiment on current conditions returning to positive territory.

The sub-50 reading indicates that developers remain wary about the outlook for the residential market over the next half-year, even as their assessment of present market conditions has turned positive.

The divergence between current sentiment and forward-looking expectations suggests that while the market may be stabilising in the near term, developers are not yet convinced that the recovery is sustainable.

The index, which measures developer confidence on a scale where 50 is the neutral mark, has been closely watched as a barometer for the health of Greater Bangkok's residential property sector.
