Xiaomi launches REDMI Note 17 Series in the Philippines, priced from P14,999

Xiaomi Corp. launched the REDMI Note 17 Series in the Philippines on Tuesday, featuring four models with large batteries and enhanced durability. Prices start at P14,999 for the base REDMI Note 17, with early bird discounts available until Oct. 1.

Xiaomi Corp. launched the REDMI Note 17 Series in the Philippines on Tuesday, introducing four models with massive batteries and improved water and drop resistance. The series comprises the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, REDMI Note 17 5G, and REDMI Note 17.

The new phones feature the REDMI Titan Battery System with silicon-carbon technology for extended battery life. The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G has Xiaomi's largest-ever 10,000mAh battery with 16% silicon content, 100W HyperCharge, and 27W reverse charging. The REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G comes with an 8,340mAh battery and 67W HyperCharge, while the REDMI Note 17 5G and REDMI Note 17 have a 7,700mAh battery with 45W turbo charging.

The Pro Max and Pro models are the first in the industry to earn TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Durability Certification, which validates drop resistance, water resistance, and battery performance. Both Pro models feature IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings and passed a two-meter, 72-hour water-resistance test. The REDMI Note 17 5G and REDMI Note 17 carry TÜV SÜD 5-star Battery Performance Certification.

The Pro models have a 6.83-inch display, while the REDMI Note 17 5G and REDMI Note 17 have a 6.99-inch screen. The Pro displays deliver up to 3,500 nits peak brightness with 1.5K resolution. The phones also include AI features such as Google Gemini and Circle to Search with Google, plus AI camera capabilities.

Pricing for the series starts at P14,999 for the 4GB+128GB REDMI Note 17, with early bird prices from Sept. 15 to Oct. 1. The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G is priced from P30,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant, with early bird pricing at P28,999. The REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G starts at P22,999 for the 6GB+128GB model, with early bird pricing at P20,999.

Until Oct. 1, buyers of the Pro models receive a REDMI Watch 6 Active, a VIP card for warranty services worth P40,000, and SB19 photocards and poster. Those purchasing the REDMI Note 17 phones get REDMI Buds 8 lite, a VIP card, and SB19 photocards and poster. Purchases from Oct. 12-31 will include a free Xiaomi backpack, SB19 photocards and poster, and a VIP card.
