Tropicana hands over fully taken-up Umara shopoffices early
Tropicana Corp Bhd has handed over vacant possession of its Umara shopoffices at Tropicana Aman ahead of schedule, with the development fully taken up. The two- and three-storey project also achieved an 83% QLASSIC score.
PETALING JAYA (Sept 22): Tropicana Corp Bhd has handed over vacant possession of its Umara shopoffices at Tropicana Aman ahead of schedule. The development was fully taken up before completion, according to Tropicana’s statement on Tuesday (Sept 22).
The two- and three-storey development also achieved an 83% score under the Quality Assessment System in Construction (QLASSIC). Tropicana managing director of marketing, sales and business development Ixora Ang said Umara forms part of the commercial component of the group’s 863-acre Tropicana Aman township in Kota Kemuning, Selangor.
“The successful completion and early handover of Umara mark another proud milestone for Tropicana Aman,” she said. Ang said Tropicana Aman was conceived in 2012 as a sustainable township for the Kota Kemuning community. Its first residential phase, launched in 2015, achieved full take-up within a year.
The township includes residential and commercial developments, private and public schools, and an 85-acre Central Park with a 7km walking and cycling trail. Following Umara, Tropicana is marketing Varia Shop Offices as the township’s next commercial phase.
Varia comprises 151 two-, three- and four-storey shopoffices, with layouts ranging from 22ft by 70ft to 40ft by 70ft. Selected units will have lift provisions and high ceilings. The development will have frontage along major roads, multiple access points and customer parking. It is intended for businesses including cafes, restaurants, bakeries, co-working spaces, professional offices, retailers and lifestyle-service providers.
Tropicana said Varia is supported by an estimated catchment population of about 500,000 and a workforce of more than 4,000. Tropicana Aman is accessible via the Kesas, LKSA, SKVE, ELITE and NKVE expressways, as well as the Federal Highway and WCE.
