PETALING JAYA (Oct 21): Oriental Kopi Holdings Bhd has completed its RM23 million acquisition of a property in Puchong, which the group previously said it had been renting as its head office and warehousing facility.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Tuesday (Oct 20), the group said it had remitted the balance purchase consideration, completing the acquisition that day. The buyer, Oriental Coffee International Sdn Bhd, is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary that was described in the February announcement as principally involved in distributing packaged food. It entered into a conditional sale and purchase agreement with the seller, Icon Façade Sdn Bhd, on Feb 12, following a letter of offer dated June 19, 2025.
The property comprises approximately 5,262 sq m of leasehold land with a factory at No. 39, Jalan TPP 3, Taman Perindustrian Putra, Puchong. It is held under title H.S.(D) 34133, PT 35187, Mukim Tanjong Duabelas, Kuala Langat district, Selangor. The lease expires on Dec 16, 2111.
In its February announcement, Oriental Kopi said the seller had indicated its intention to dispose of the property. Buying the premises would allow the group to continue operating at the same location, avoiding disruption, relocation and setup costs. The group said ownership would also eliminate the risks of rental increases, non-renewal of the tenancy and other landlord-related constraints.
The RM23 million price was agreed on a willing-buyer, willing-seller basis after considering publicly available market rates for similarly sized properties nearby. The group had said the acquisition would be funded through internally generated funds and bank borrowings.
