Ombak KLCC opens as final component of KLCC Precinct; Galeri PETRONAS due 4Q2027

KLCC (Holdings) has opened Ombak KLCC, the final component of the KLCC Precinct in Kuala Lumpur. The 420,000 sq ft mall features a cantilevered section housing Galeri PETRONAS, which is slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2027.

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 28): Ombak KLCC, the latest and final component of the KLCC Precinct, has opened in Kuala Lumpur, KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd announced on Friday.

The mall has approximately 420,000 sq ft of net lettable area and has been curated to bring together arts, culture, lifestyle and leisure. It features a cantilevered section that will house Galeri PETRONAS, occupying approximately 126,356 sq ft. The gallery is slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2027.

At the launch of a four-day National Day event themed Jiwa Merdeka, KLCC (Holdings) group chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Salem Kailany said: “Ombak KLCC completes the whole KLCC Precinct in terms of offerings and offers a completeness to KLCC, the soul of Kuala Lumpur. We are still at the starting point. Ombak KLCC is more than just another retail space, which is why we themed it with art and culture.”

Ombak KLCC is part of the 100-acre KLCC Precinct, which KLCC (Holdings) manages along with the PETRONAS Twin Towers, Suria KLCC and the 50-acre KLCC Park.

From now until Aug 31, to celebrate Malaysia’s 69th year of independence, the mall will be hosting various events under “Jiwa Malaysia”. There will be 69 activations across art, craft, food, music and community, featuring performances by Malaysia’s iconic artistes.
