Megawide Construction Corporation reported a 22 per cent increase in first-half net income to P532 million as of June 2026, supported by growth across its construction, real estate and transport businesses. The company's real estate segment posted strong gains, while recurring revenues from the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) continued to expand. Megawide also maintained a healthy construction order book of P47.5 billion, providing strong visibility for future growth.
Founded in 1997 by two engineers, Megawide has evolved from a pure construction firm into a diversified engineering and infrastructure group with interests spanning construction, transport-centric developments, property development and social infrastructure. The company's integrated engineering platform is supported by the country's largest precast and construction solutions facility inside a 20-hectare industrial complex in Taytay, Rizal.
Under the expanded 4PH housing programme, Megawide achieved the topping-off of Tower 1 of Avesta Residences in Imus, Cavite in under ten months after the commencement of physical construction. The company is now aspiring to deliver 100,000 units in the socialised housing space over the next five to seven years, backed by its engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) experience and precast and construction solutions (PCS) platform.
Megawide strengthened its balance sheet through debt reduction initiatives, paring down around P8 billion in short-term debt to bring the parent company level to around P10 billion, generating an estimated P200 million in interest savings. The company paid out regular cash dividends of P0.145 per share on 7 Aug 2026, with a hint of another special dividend before the end of the year and a more regular dividend payout policy starting next year.
Other milestones include delivering thousands of classrooms under the Public-Private Partnership for School Infrastructure Project Phases 1 and 2, developing and operating the PITX, the ongoing Baguio City Integrated Terminal and the South Luzon Integrated Terminal Exchange, and initiating urban renewal projects such as the Carbon Market redevelopment in Cebu.
