Kee Ming Group secures RM44.17m subcontract for Puncak Alam data centre electrical works

Kee Ming Group Bhd has secured a RM44.17 million subcontract to carry out electrical engineering works at a hyperscale data centre in Puncak Alam. The works are expected to be completed by July 30, 2027.

PETALING JAYA (Nov 5): Kee Ming Group Bhd has secured a RM44.17 million subcontract for electrical engineering works at a hyperscale data centre project in Puncak Alam. In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Wednesday (Nov 4), the group said its wholly owned subsidiary, Kee Ming Electrical Sdn Bhd, accepted the letter of award that day from an unnamed mechanical and electrical contractor.

The scope of the subcontract includes the supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of general electrical works and electrical works for the main building. General electrical works are to commence upon acceptance of the letter, while electrical works for the main building are subject to the contractor issuing a notice to proceed.

Under the terms of the award, Kee Ming Electrical must provide a bank guarantee equivalent to 10 per cent of the subcontract sum within seven days of accepting the award. The group expects the subcontract to contribute positively to its earnings, earnings per share and net assets from the financial year ending March 31, 2027, through completion.

Completion of the works is scheduled for July 30, 2027.
