PETALING JAYA (Oct 26): Invest Kedah has signed three heads of agreement (HoAs), including one covering a proposed Malaysia International Halal & DataTech Park, according to The Marq International Sdn Bhd.

In a statement, the real estate and international project marketing company said the agreements were signed at the SG4 Business & Economic Forum 2026, for which it was appointed a strategic partner. The proposed park agreement involves Invest Kedah, Qew Group Bhd, CMHI DataTech Sdn Bhd and The Marq International.

Another agreement involves Invest Kedah, the Shenzhen New Energy Automobile Association (SNEAA) and The Marq International exploring a new energy vehicle and green mobility ecosystem in Kedah. The third covers strategic cooperation between Invest Kedah and The Marq International.

The company said the HoAs establish a framework for further discussion and cooperation. Any specific investment, financing, project scope or implementation remains subject to further assessment, due diligence, relevant approvals and definitive agreements.

The Marq International said it invited representatives from Chinese organisations including China Construction Fifth Engineering Bureau, China Energy Engineering Corporation, Chongqing Qianxin Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Group and SNEAA. Other invitees included representatives from Shenzhen Zhenhao Business Service and Food Safety Express Information Technology, alongside Malaysian legal, medical and media organisations.

The Marq International CEO Steven Wei said the company sought to connect Invest Kedah and Malaysian stakeholders with potential international partners. “We brought these partners to SG4 because their sector experience aligns with areas where Kedah is exploring development and collaboration opportunities,” he said.
