PETALING JAYA (Nov 3): HHRG Bhd has completed the acquisition of a 1.95ha leasehold parcel in Marang, Terengganu, for RM11 million through its wholly-owned subsidiary Open Road (East Coast) Sdn Bhd (OREC).

In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Monday (Nov 2), the group said the acquisition had been completed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the sale and purchase agreement. The group’s Aug 20 disclosure identified Tregon Construction Sdn Bhd as the vendor and stated the purchase consideration at RM11 million.

The parcel is held under title PM 3668, Lot 78303, formerly PT 28519, at Tempat Muara Sungai Marang, Mukim Pulau Kerengga. It measures approximately 19,543 sq m, or 4.83 acres, and carries a “Building” land-use category, with a 99-year lease expiring on Oct 3, 2114.

On Aug 20, OREC and Tregon signed a supplemental letter amending the amended and restated sale and purchase agreement dated Dec 19, 2025, for the parcel. The parties also terminated a separate agreement on Aug 20 for a 2,042 sq m parcel held under title PM 3669, Lot 78304, formerly PT 28520, in the same locality.

Under the supplemental letter, all monies duly paid by OREC under the terminated agreement were to be refunded by Tregon through a set-off against the purchase price of the PM 3668 parcel. All other terms and conditions of the agreement for PM 3668 remained unchanged. HHRG said in its Aug 20 disclosure that the termination would not result in any material financial loss.
