PETALING JAYA (Oct 12): Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld) has opened registration for the second phase of the SME Core at Eco Business Park VII (EBP VII) in Negeri Sembilan, offering 136 cluster and semi-detached factories. Registration opened during the second EcoWorld Connects: Business Ascend Forum, held at EX8 in Subang Jaya on Thursday (Oct 8).

The developer said the first phase of the SME Core had been fully taken up. The second phase sits directly across from the first and offers the same factory sizes and specifications, with all units within a gated and guarded development. The cluster factories measure 60 ft by 100 ft and 60 ft by 120 ft, while the semi-detached factories measure 75 ft by 130 ft and 75 ft by 140 ft.

The first phase also offered industrial land parcels of one to five acres, alongside larger parcels exceeding five acres. According to EcoWorld, EBP VII spans approximately 1,195 acres of freehold land in Bukit Pelandok, Mukim Jimah, Port Dickson, with an estimated gross development value of RM3 billion.

The developer said the industrial park is being developed through a public-private partnership between EcoWorld, SD Guthrie Bhd via its wholly owned subsidiary SD Guthrie Land Ventures Sdn Bhd, and NS Corp, the state agency coordinating and driving the Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV 2.0) masterplan. EBP VII forms part of Parcel C under the MVV 2.0 blueprint, an area earmarked for industrial, logistics and economic clusters.

The development is planned to combine medium-sized industrial lots and ready-built factories with commercial hubs, retail and service facilities. EcoWorld said EBP VII would cater to sectors including aerospace, electrical and electronics, logistics and e-commerce, halal industries, biotechnology and advanced manufacturing.

Themed “The Next Leap”, the forum featured Colony Coworking & Event Spaces CEO Timothy Tiah, Aerodyne Group founder and group CEO Datuk Dr Kamarul A Muhamed, and Santan CEO Catherine Goh. The speakers shared their experiences in identifying opportunities and growing their businesses before joining a panel discussion on preparing for the next phase of growth, moderated by Clement Liaw, EcoWorld’s head of operations for Eco Business Park V and VII.

The event followed the inaugural forum in December 2025 and formed part of EBP VII’s efforts to build a business community around the development. “EcoWorld Connects was built on a simple idea, that businesses grow faster when they grow together,” said EcoWorld deputy CEO Liew Tian Xiong. “EBP VII is designed as a business ecosystem, where space, community and connections come together to help companies take their next step with confidence.”
