Brookfield India REIT and NCW, a venture of Indian wealth manager Nuvama and US-based Cushman & Wakefield, completed a INR 17 billion (S$177.2 million) office purchase covering three floors of Godrej BKC in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex financial district on Tuesday, the trust said.

The partners each own half of the 264,000 square feet (24,526 square metres), with NCW investing through its Prime Offices Fund. The seller was an affiliated Brookfield private fund.

In other Asia Pacific real estate news, Australia's Metrics Credit Partners has frozen withdrawals from its Wholesale Investment Trust and MCP Real Estate Debt Fund and paused most lending for 90 days after disclosing a A$170 million (S$118.6 million) writedown on three ASX-listed funds, according to The Australian. The newspaper said Metrics, which manages about A$35 billion and is heavily exposed to real estate debt, told property borrowers in September that it would halt lending, its main revenue source.

Chinese e-commerce group JD.com's Jingdong Property arm has agreed to develop 150,000 square metres (1.6 million square feet) of warehousing in Abu Dhabi's KEZAD Al Ma'mourah industrial zone. The facility, featuring automated warehousing systems, is due for delivery in 2028.

Melbourne-based developer HyperDC applied on 22 September for Victorian state government approval of a data centre at 715 Ballan Road in Moorabool, near Geelong. The MBL1 site, covering 39 hectares (96 acres), is planned to offer 400 megawatts of IT capacity.

E-commerce giant Amazon has agreed to buy 183,973 square metres (2 million square feet) of land in Sepang, near Kuala Lumpur, from Malaysian developer Sunsuria for MYR 316.8 million (S$77.7 million) for a data centre, according to a Bursa Malaysia filing. Sunsuria expects a MYR 50.3 million net gain from the sale, which needs state and shareholder approval and should complete in the second quarter of 2027.
