The Philippine Department of Transportation received six bids for the rehabilitation of Tacloban Airport and seven for the development of Busuanga Airport. The combined project value is P1.24 billion, with bidding deadlines set for 2 Sep 2026.
The Department of Transportation (DoTr) has received six bids for the Tacloban Airport rehabilitation and seven for the Busuanga Airport development, following a pre-bid conference earlier this month. The combined contract value for both airport projects is P1.24 billion.
For the P402.55-million Busuanga Airport project, bidders include Hashtag Ventures, Yakal Construction, AC Tumang Construction, Protech Construction and Development Corp., RD Policarpio and Co., Inc., Syndtite Construction Corp., and JJ Tan, Inc. The scope covers site development and initial construction of an apron and taxiway.
The P145.50-million Tacloban Airport project drew bids from six firms: Hashtag Ventures, Yakal Construction, AC Tumang Construction, Protech Construction and Development Corp., JJ Tan, Inc., and Aqualine Construction Corp. The contract covers the continuation and construction of building facilities.
Separately, the same six companies submitted bids for a P695.25-million contract covering civil works and rehabilitation of Tacloban Airport. That project focuses on airside facilities, with the winning bidder required to complete the work within 300 calendar days, including 30 pre-determined unworkable days.
The DoTr has set the deadline for bid submission for all three contracts on 2 Sep 2026. The agency is pursuing airport development projects to upgrade and expand facilities, meet rising passenger demand, and accommodate larger aircraft for enhanced connectivity with other airports.
