PETALING JAYA (Sept 17): MP Global Realty Sdn Bhd and EdgeProp Malaysia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting the use of property data, market intelligence and digital technology in Malaysia's real estate sector.

The partnership is intended to enhance the capabilities of real estate professionals and support more informed decision-making among property buyers, investors and owners, MP Global Realty said in a statement on Sept 10.

MP Global Realty co-founder and group CEO Rajaghantham P. Ramasamy said clients were increasingly looking beyond traditional sales services for reliable market information, accurate data and professional advice. “Our collaboration with EdgeProp will enable our Property Advisors to access better market insights and technology tools, allowing us to deliver greater value and a more professional experience to our clients,” he said.

Representing EdgeProp at the signing ceremony was head of business development Nimalen Parimalam and head of sales (agency), Stannly Tan. “We are always excited to help real estate professionals like those in MP Global Realty to go further with data and market intelligence. They will become better with us,” said Nimalen.

MP Global Realty co-founder and group managing director George Yap said the MoU formed part of the company's move towards becoming a more data-driven and technology-enabled real estate organisation. “This partnership is more than just a collaboration. It is part of MP Global Realty's journey towards becoming a more data-driven, technology-enabled and professional real estate organisation,” he said. “Over the next 10 years, our vision is to build a stronger Property Advisor network that can provide clients with not only property options, but also meaningful investment insights and solutions.”

“Data and technology is the de rigueur that we cannot avoid, going forward. We will play our role well for MP Global Realty,” said Tan. MP Global Realty has more than 200 real estate negotiators, with branches in Johor Bahru, Penang and Melaka, supported by its headquarters in the Klang Valley. The company provides services covering commercial, industrial and residential properties, development land, corporate offices, project marketing and property investment advisory.
