PETALING JAYA (Sept 15): EXSIM Hospitality Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary EXSIM Concepto Sdn Bhd (ECSB) has accepted a RM42.48 million appointment as nominated subcontractor from Taghill Projects Sdn Bhd.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Monday (Sept 14), EXSIM Hospitality said the appointment covers the supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of building services, as well as general building works. Taghill Projects, which the filing described as the contractor, issued the letter of appointment on Sept 1, and ECSB accepted it on Sept 14.

The works are scheduled to run from Sept 15, 2026 to Sept 15, 2028, spanning 24 months. The defects-liability period is 27 calendar months from the date of the certificate of practical completion. The filing did not identify the underlying project, its location or the project owner.

EXSIM Hospitality said the subcontract is expected to contribute positively to its net assets per share, earnings per share and gearing over the duration of the works. The company disclosed that none of its directors, major shareholders or persons connected with them had any direct or indirect interest in the appointment.

ECSB principally provides specialised fit-out services for hospitality assets, general contracting and centralised procurement services. The appointment follows a RM7.35 million contract accepted by ECSB from Lim Legacy Properties Sdn Bhd earlier this month to build a two-storey temporary sales gallery at Lot 43943, Jalan Klang Lama, Kuala Lumpur.

The six-month contract, announced on Sept 1, is scheduled to run from Sept 7, 2026 to March 6, 2027. Unlike the Taghill appointment, EXSIM Hospitality disclosed the sales-gallery contract as a recurrent related-party transaction. The company said major shareholders Lim Aik Hoe, Lim Aik Kiat and Lim Aik Fu indirectly own Lim Legacy Properties through their shareholding in EXSIM Development Sdn Bhd. Lim Aik Hoe and Lim Aik Kiat are also directors of Lim Legacy Properties.

The two appointments announced this month have a combined value of RM49.83 million.
