DoTr seeks consultants for Surigao, Cagayancillo, Taytay airport studies

The Philippine Department of Transportation is inviting consultants for feasibility studies and master plans for three airport projects. The contracts cover the new Surigao Airport and the Cagayancillo and Taytay airports, with a combined budget of P158.16 million.

The Department of Transportation (DoTr) is initiating feasibility studies for the development of three airports, inviting consultants to submit expressions of interest for the projects.

In one request, the agency said it is seeking consultants to conduct a feasibility study, create a master plan, assess environmental impact and craft a resettlement action plan for the new Surigao Airport Development Project, with a budget of P87.64 million.

In a separate notice, DoTr said it is looking for consultancy services to assess the feasibility and environmental impact, as well as craft a master plan, for the Cagayancillo Airport Development Project and the Taytay Airport Development Project. The agency said it is now shortlisting documents for these services, with a budget of P70.52 million.

The contract for the Cagayancillo and Taytay projects must be completed within 300 calendar days, or 10 months, from the notice to proceed.

Further, DoTr has allocated P70.52 million to tap consultancy services to conduct a strategic air transport development plan and environmental and social assessment for airport development in Cebu.
