PETALING JAYA (Aug 28): Avaland Bhd’s net profit rose 41% quarter-on-quarter (q-o-q) to RM17.1 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026 (2QFY2026), from RM12.1 million in 1QFY2026.

In a press release on Thursday (Aug 27), Avaland said quarterly revenue rose 17% to RM174.3 million from RM149.4 million in the preceding quarter, driven by higher construction progress across ongoing developments and contributions from recently launched projects. New sales rose 46% q-o-q to RM222.4 million from RM152.3 million, supported by contributions from recently launched landed developments.

Avaland CEO Apollo Bello Tanco said Aetas Seputeh and Amika Residences were fully sold, with both developments achieving full take-up about two years after their respective launches in 2024. “This strong take-up reflects sustained demand for our developments,” he added, noting that the group’s premium portfolio continued to record healthy sales contributions during the quarter.

As at June 30, Avaland’s unbilled sales stood at RM941.1 million, up 4% from RM904.9 million as at March 31. The group said continued sales across its ongoing and recently launched developments supported the increase and provided visibility over its medium-term earnings.

During the quarter, Avaland acquired a 1.9-acre freehold parcel in Taman U-Thant, Kuala Lumpur, which it said is earmarked for a luxury residential development with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of about RM700 million. The group said it remained on track with its 2026 launch plans across three portfolio series, comprising projects with a combined estimated GDV of more than RM1 billion. It plans to launch Accent Petaling Jaya under its AVA Prime series and Aetas Taman Desa under its AVA Luxe series in the second half of 2026, following the earlier launch of landed residential and commercial developments under the AVA Ria series.

The group said it remained cautiously optimistic about its prospects, citing continued demand for strategically located developments and its planned launch pipeline. Avaland has about 76.5 hectares, or 189 acres, of landbank with an estimated GDV of RM12.3 billion.

For the first six months of FY2026, however, net profit attributable to owners fell 4% to RM29.2 million from RM30.5 million a year earlier, even as revenue rose 7% to RM323.8 million from RM303.6 million.
