The rules we apply to sponsored material
These are not negotiable, and stating them up front saves everyone a conversation later:
- Sponsored content is labelled as sponsored, permanently and visibly. It is never presented as independent reporting.
- Sponsored content does not appear in the Market Data section. That section is our own analysis of official datasets and its value depends entirely on nothing in it having been paid for.
- Buying advertising does not buy editorial coverage, influence how we report on you, or prevent us reporting something you would rather we did not.
- We will not publish a price forecast, a claim about investment returns, or a comparison with a named competitor that the material cannot support.
- We decline advertising for anything we think would mislead a reader about a property transaction.
Editorial enquiries should go to [email protected] rather than to this address; see the contact page.
